Get ready for the school year with our first-ever Back to School Junior Clothing Swap! This event is perfect for refreshing your kiddos' wardrobes while helping other families in the community.


What is it?


A 1:1 clothing swap where families can bring gently used clothing (Youth XS through Junior sizes) and exchange them for "new-to-you" pieces. It's a sustainable, budget-friendly, and fun way to prep for back-to-school season!


Here's how it works:

Sort

Gather your clean, gently used clothing in Youth XS through Junior sizes. You may bring in up to 15 items per child.

Drop Off

Drop off your items the week prior at The Laundry Gal OR existing members may drop off their items at any Boys & Girls Club location.


You may also bring your items to the event and hand them in day of.

Get Your Bracelet

Receive a bracelet with the number of items you dropped off, one for each child.

Shop!

Pick out "new-to-you" clothes from the swap selection up to the number on your bracelet.

  • What sizes are accepted for the swap?

    We accept gently used clothing in Youth XS through Junior sizes.

  • What types of clothing can I bring?

    You can bring clean, gently used clothing appropriate for school, including:

    • Shirts, blouses, and t-shirts
    • Pants, jeans, and leggings
    • Dresses, skirts, and jumpers
    • Jackets, hoodies, and sweaters

  • What items are not allowed?

    We do not allow:

    • Stained, torn, or damaged clothing
    • Undergarments or socks (unless brand new, in original packaging)
    • Heavily worn shoes

  • How many items can I bring?

    You can bring up to 15 items per child. You will receive one bracelet per kiddo to use to shop!

  • Can I bring my kids?

    Absolutely! We encourage families to bring their kids along to help pick out their new wardrobe staples.

  • What happens to the leftover clothing?

    All leftover clothing will be donated to local organizations that support families in need.

  • Will there be food or drinks?

    TBD. We are inviting a couple of food trucks to participate in the event.

  • How early should I arrive?

    We recommend arriving early to get the best selection of items AND dropping off your items early will get you through check in much faster.

  • Do I need to RSVP?

    No RSVP is necessary, but it helps us plan if you let us know you’re coming!
